Packaging VMware View Client 5.3
Hi,
I'm fairly new to using Thinapp and have been having some issues with packaging VMware Horizon View Client 5.3.
We are deploying the thinapp via MSI as it needs to run locally off the network.
The problem I am currently having is related to the install location of the MSI. It needs to be C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware View\Client\Bin\* however every time I install it, it goes into Program Files (x86) after making the changes in the Package.ini. The installer when capturing points to the correct location by default.
MSIInstallDirectory=C:\Program Files\VMware\Vmware View\Client\Bin
Does anyone know what might be causing this? And how I could fix this so it deploys to Program Files rather then Program Files (x86)?
I am using Thinapp 5.1 with Windows 7 (64 bit OS)

are you packaging this on an x64 machine?? It sounds like its a 32 bit app, hence why it is going into the Program Files (x86) on the target OS. - Badger 9 years ago
