Patching Google Chrome

I am using KACE to patch 3rd Party software only. When patching Chrome or Firefox is there a way to force a browser restart after the patch is deployed?

Doubt you can do it from within patching. But you can set these two registry keys to assist. (either via Kace or Group Policy)

HKLM\Software\Policies\Google\Chrome
Name: RelaunchNotification
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 2

If set to 'Required' (2) a recurring warning will be shown to the user indicating that a browser relaunch will be forced once the notification period passes. The default period is seven days for Google Chrome and four days for Google Chrome OS, and may be configured via the RelaunchNotificationPeriod policy setting. The user's session is restored following the relaunch/restart.

HKLM\Software\Policies\Google\Chrome
Name: RelaunchNotificationPeriod
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 3600000

Min value is 3600000. (milliseconds, which is 1 hour) That seems a bit aggressive, adjust to whatever your needs are.
