Plugins created in installshield

Hi All,

I have an application to be packaged, the application is a plugin created from installshield. It is a vendor msi but when installed it doesnot add the plugin to is parent application but when the application is installed with its setup.exe(created in installshield) it adds the plugin. So the client needs a package which should be in a MSI/MST format (No Wrapper) and it should install the plugin in user also (Which is not the case with the setup.exe).

I have tried to take a capture by comparing the files and registries from the setup.exe and the msi but landed into many errors. The plugins also has many GAC assemblies which a handle by the setup.

Please help me in packaging such application.

Regards,

Gary

Usually Plug-Ins does not have any GAG assemblies linked  into it.. Those assemblies will be coming from InstallSheild Setup.exe (This will be coming for all InstallShield - Particularly this kind of Setup.exe)

Try to capture the Plug-in part alone and incorporate the same in your mst..
