Script schedule question

See the attached image.  If I have the schedule set accordingly, does this mean when a client checks in the script will run automatically?  Or must I have the script scheduled to run on some sort of frequency (every X hours or days) for the run on checkin to work?

  • not sure, I just tell mine to run once a month at 12pm for the ones I want to do what you are doing. You can tell if it runs this by checking the C:\ProgramData\Dell\KACE\kbots_cache dir and see if an xml file that starts with the same id as the script appears. You get the script id by pointing at the name of it in the browser list and look at the bottom left corner of the page - SMal.tmcc 10 years ago
  • I asked a similar question. It is not possible to have a script run at every checkin. If you can do the script in 1 line in cmd or powershell, try making a custom inventory rule, since a CIR will run every checkin.

To get mine to work I did have to set a date. I just picked a random Sunday at 3 am. With that set at check in does work.
