Scripting of silent installation for Cisco Aironet PC card

I am having difficulty scripting a silent/unattended install for WinClient-802.11a-b-g-Ins-Wizard-v40.exe.
None of the silent switches seem to work. Tried the response file method, can create the setup.iss but
will not read it when using setup.exe /s. Tried doing a snapshoot using InstallShield but that also did not work.
What makes this tricky is that the Cisco Wirelss Card has to be inserted.
Any ideas?

Hello,

I haven't worked on this personally myself but it's my understanding that Cisco supply a seperate utility which allows you to create a configuration file that can then be used with the Wizard. Among the general settings you can configure is (I believe) an option for silent setup. The following link is for the documentation for the utility I just described.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/wlan_adapter/cb21ag/admin/4.0/administration/guide/au_4_0.pdf

Having had a quick look at the document myself, it looks like it is just a case of running the utility, selecting your settings and generating the configuration file and then placing this file in the same location as the wizard executable which should then pick up the settings (including the silent option).

Hope this helps,

Thanks spartacus;
I will look into the Admin Utility. Had the Cisco guy get the utility for me.
I will update the post with my findings.
