Searching Kace for serial number
Hi All,
I am looking to search for some specific computers that i'm hoping are located in Kace. I've searched the serial number but no joy. I also grabbed something in the asset inventory and searched its displayed serial number but it didn't return any results either. I am curious how do I go about searching for the serial number field so it gives me some results?

When you say serial number, I assume you mean the "service tag" number
If you paste the service tag number of the machine in the "devices" tab in the inventory....
you should get back the computer that has that service tag on it

So ... if you cant see anything when you search with a serial number... then its probably
not in the kace server.
