Question regarding use of SourceList

Hello,

how to reinstall an application from current location rather than from sourcelist or lastusedsource in msi? It should ignore sourcelist and install the msi with new transform.

Thanks.

Use REINSTALLMODE=vamus, this will make sure it will use your current location and will also recache your new MSI in the cache folder.

v stands for recaching and for rest you can see here:

You should use REINSTALLMODE=voums with REINSTALL=ALL property

The presence of the REINSTALLMODE property does not reinstall features. The reinstallation of features requires the presence of the REINSTALL property.

or use the /fvomus  ( repair + recaching)
