Switches with sub-options ?

Could someone explain what sub-options do? Like for ekample, I hava a few applications using the switch " /qb " but what does the "b" mean?

/q   with sub-options n|b|r|f

sets quiet mode or silent parameters

If you run msiexec.exe without any option you will get a help.

b = basic which will display a progress bar.

    • I prefer /qb-!. This will make it where they cannot cancel. - dugullett 12 years ago
      • I prefer /qn. That way the user never sees a thing. :) But thanks for the info about /qb- I had never seen that before. That will probably come in handy in the future. - Ben M 12 years ago
