System Search for Java 1.6, How to do for x32 and x64 bit Java Both. Installshield

I have one installer which has a prerequisite of java1.6(X32 java for 32bit and vice versa). How could i check where Java is installed or not and set the Java path as environment Variable?

you can check the version while running javac -version from the command prompt

Add C:\Program Files\Java\ to the PATH variable
