Tough Problem
I have a interesting problem, I need to automtically create Incoming Connections on remote machines. So far nothing I have found has been successful. Most things I have found on the internet can create RAS connections but Incoming Connections appear to be a special circumstance. Tools at my disposal are limited to Winbatch and standard Windows 2000\XP tools. Anyone run into this problem before?

Hi,
You might want to edit your modem init string. on
http://www.zoltrix.com/support_html/modem/USEMODEM.HTM#Answer%20Mode
You can find some answers on how to compose your init string.
It has to do with the AT modem command set.
I hope this helps you. It has been a long time ago (aprox. 10 years) I ran a Fido-net BBS. There this was common knowledge.
Because of the long period of time since then, my knowledge became a little rusty on this kind of issues.
Keep in mind that the AT commandset might be intepreted differently from one modem to another. Please read your owners manual for the details.

I appreciate the response but that has absolutely nothing to do with what the problem I am having. I need to create incoming connections on remote machines from the command line under windows 2000 and XP. Right now I have a Winbatch script but that is somewhat cumbersome for mass deployment.
