Truncating or Editing Email Template Variables
Does anyone know if the email template variables can be edited, or at the least trimmed down? We are trying to implement the ability for new comments on tickets are automatically preceded with the comment submitter's name. This is possible with the $change_desc variable, but the formatting of the rest of the comment is hideous and I'm looking to just have the name of the comment submitter appear and then remove the rest of the information from the variable.

You can do this with a custom rule but not with the system rules. - chucksteel 8 years ago
