Understanding initial setup for IE11
I use IE for website compatibilty testing and I just got the IE11 update. I opened up IE and got the 'use recommended security privacy and compatibility settings' or "don't use them" choice.
Can someone give me a quick run down on these 2 choices?

'use recommended security privacy and compatibility settings'
- Compatability Settings - Microsoft keeps a list of compatability settings for some websites. If the site is listed on their servers, IE will set itself to compatability mode automatically to properly display the site if it needs it. It will set itself to render in IE9, IE 10 etc. all while being seemless to you.
- Smart Screen Filter - MS analyzes sites/files for malicious activity. It will help stop sites from appearing or you from downloading files that are known to be malicious. More info on that here - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/SmartScreen-Filter-frequently-asked-questions-IE9
"don't use them"
- Turns both of these features off
Hope this helps!
