Unwanted arbitrary prompts for network credentials

A user accessed a Sharepoint link to view information about our internal bureau a few months ago. Viewing of this site is available to everyone. View was successful, however she has NEVER tried to access the Sharepoint again. Now she is arbitrarily prompted for credentials for no reason at all several times throughout the day to this particular server. This follows her to any system she logs in on. Seems there is possibly a mapped drive that I can't find to disconnect or an access attempt to the particular server that never completed and continues to attempt. Any suggestion would be appreciated.  Her network account is in good standing.

Did she connect to the sharepoint via Office aka Outlook, or word document that she opened from the sharepoint site. That would cause the prompt.

  • Thank you for the question. She accessed the Sharepoint site one time (6-months ago) through a link on our (Internal) intranet. - JennN 11 years ago
  • This user was moved to an unrestricted OU in AD and the issue is still occurring. Seems Sharepoint server related. Any Sharepoint experts out there? - JennN 11 years ago
