upgrade limitation?
Hi All,
Is it possible to uninstall the a version of the software which is a setup.exe using upgrade logic.
Can i give the product code of setup.exe of the s/w in the newer version of MSI package?
Is it possible to achieve like this if not why?

You don't say what tool you're using. That sounds like an installshield or Wise script question. Some Installshield scripts allow you to pass MSI command line parameters, and others do not. You can set just about any condition you want to if you're building an MSI, sure. But whether it would play nice with a previous setup.exe? Not sure, impossible to know without knowing what the setup does.
