Visio Converter 2013

Folks,

Has anyone managed to silently install visio Converter 2013:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/confirmation.aspx?id=39640

Each and every time I attempt a silent install (either via the .exe or extracted .msi) I am getting a prompt that states:

The compatibility pack requires MS Office Visio 2007 or 2010 and the most recent visio updates, your system is missing one or more of these requirments.

Do you want to learn more about the required components? Click "No" to continue with the installation.

My THREE choices are: YES (this is the defualt), NO or Cancel

If I manually select NO, the install goes ahead and completes, however as YES is the default, any silent arguements I use always selects YES.

I have tried to create a TRANSFORMS in both WISE and INSTALLSHIELD, but I am not able to find this dialog box in any of the tables.

Help....

Many thanks

Nick

  • Hi, I know it was a while ago, but can you clarify what change you have to make to the TRANSFORM, to resolve the prompt? - Womain 7 years ago

You can't be serious, surely? I'll give you a clue: the 'InstallExecuteSequence' table, the CA called 'VisConvPreReqFailed'

raising this from the dead, not so good with MSI tables, what do we do with VisConvPreReqFailed?  I tried to enter <null> and delete the row, no luck
