why installshiled minor upgrade fails while passing reinstall parameter
Hi Team,
1.I tried to Reinstall our installshield package based on the a minor upgrade scenario and but it is failed when i pass the "REINSTALLMODE=avomus REINSTALL=F2 ADDLOCAL=F2.
2.Here i wants to notify that i am going to re-install F2 feature on top of the existing feature F1.
3.May i know why it is failed when we use reinstall option in Msi commandline installshield release wizard?.
Please advice and do the needful.

I would recommend you to go through the guidelines for Minor Upgrade once. It might help you. Secondly, you are trying to reinstall a feature F2 on F1. The names here are different. If F2 feature is new feature, then keep it in the ADDLOCAL's list. - Rahul.C.Gaikwad 9 years ago

REINSTALL and REINSTALLMODE are only to be used for an existing, already installed, MSI.
You must not use them for a first time install, whether that install is the original MSI or an upgrade MSI.

Hi Team,
Already we have installed our released product 13.8.0.0 and iam trying to upgrade(Minor) 13.8.1.0 in existing product(13.8.0).
FYI.. i have followed windows installer rules for component rules.
Please let me know if you have any suggestion.
