Will Visio 2010 32bit work on MS Office 2013 64 bit .

Hi Friends,

I have scenario. I'm planning to install MS Office 2013 x64, but it fails as I have Visio 2010 32bit installed on the machine.
If I uninstall Visio 2010 32bit first then install Office 2013 x64, later can I install the same visio 2010 32bit? will it be compatible or i need to install only visio x64 bit?

Please advise.

Thank you

From experience, even if you can get bits of 32-bit Office and 64-bit installed side-by-side, getting them to work together opens up a new world of pain. Why would you want to, anyway? If you have a license for 32-bit, surely you have one for 64-bit? I'd say that unless your users have H U G E spreadsheets - and let's face it, Excel's the only product in the suite that might need 64-bit - avoid.

Lastly, you're aware, of course, that MS explicitly counsels against installing 64-bit Office?

I wholehearted agree with VBScab on this, however, it can be achieved. Though I would not recommend it. In my environment there are only a handful of users who have the 64-bit version of Office due to massive spreadsheets needed.
rvprasad I would image that you should have the 64-bit version of Visio and should deploy that right along with Office.
