Using registry keys mentioned above will work fine in case of English MUI, but if you are packaging for multiple builds than running Neroburnright.exe with /all switch will be a better options. Above registies are known to create problem in French MUI
Just wanted to drop a quick find:
If you install the nero.mmstrial.msi with [languagecode].mst and you get the "This program requires the file advrcntr6.dll, which was not found on this system." error, the MSI is probably looking for it in
[tempfolder]somegeneratedfoldername_alswaysdifferent
([tempfolder]D39B4B65_3692_4292_833F_2C81D15845EB__11.0.1.11__1436 in my case).
Using the Install Tailor of WISE I saw two properties get set as:
Set Property SUPPORTDIR [tempfolder]D39B4B65_3692_4292_833F_2C81D15845EB__11.0.1.11__1436
Set Property NERO.ADVRCNTR_PATH [TempFolder]D39B4B65_3692_4292_833F_2C81D15845EB__11.0.1.11__264\AdvrCntr6.dll
which are not available on a fresh machine of course.
I changed these values to:
[CommonFilesFolder]Nero\AdvrCntr6
[CommonFilesFolder]Nero\AdvrCntr6\AdvrCntr6.dll
Also I copied the contents from that folder in %temp% to a n/w share (some EULA.rtf, CustomActions file and two .dll files)
I then took a clean machine, copied the contents and put it in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nero\AdvrCntr6
installed all the pre-reqs needed (not all in my case!) and rolled out the msi/mst
All you need to do is have your own msi/mst put the above files (or just the AdvrCntr6.dll, need to try this) in the above location (or have a script do it together with the pre-reqs you need)
I guess I can set these properties with Orca too now I know what is causing the error.
WIN!
