The Deployment Wizard is great if all you're deploying is Inventor (Suite or Pro) by itself. If you have to bundle it with something else, like Raster Design, in one package, forget it. Use the GPO .MSI that it builds rather than the SETUP.EXE commands. Make sure you use TRANSFORMS= and invoke the same .MST that the SETUP.EXE command invokes. Works great.
If you attempt to wrap the SETUP.EXE instruction into an advertised package with SMS/SCCM or Altiris where you expect to capture an end result code, forget it. The SETUP.EXE exits after spawning the first child process. The remaining child processes continue on but you won't get the capture code back. Use the "for-GPO.msi" package that the deployment wizard creates and append the TRANSFORMS= to invoke the custom .mst created by the deployment wizard. This works very well and gives you a final result code at the end.
