While re-packaging this to MSI I ran into a doozy since our users are not local administrator to their PC. (They are Power Users or Restricted Users)
If you try to run this application with anything other than administrator will give you an error message demanding you to use an administrator account.
Using RegMon, FileMon and ProcMon will not hint to a permission problem.
Solution: in the properties of the shortcut, in the application compatibility tab, set it to Windows 2000.

The irony is that on the original CD it says it will run on 95/98/ME/XP. Notice 2000 is missing from the list!!
