OK normally I'd just repackage this but thought I should have a proper look this time. This is a simple enough install. All you need to do is run the exe downloaded from www.catglobal.com, this will place administrater.msi into C:\documents&setting\username\localsetting\temp\a folder. Can't remember the name of the last folder name, if you clean out this area before running the installer you'll only have a couple to look in.
Once you have administrator.msi you need to create an MST. For some reason Wise doesn't record the datapath information which is the bit you actually need, this is an installshield msi so it may do a better job. I plumped for using Orca, all you need to do is create an mst with DATAPATH added to the property table and the value needs to be the path to your server.
Run the Msi with the MST and you will get the path in the correct box.
DATAPATH has to be in CAPS else the msi will ignore and use the default of C:
If you are really lazy you could just bang the row straight into the msi.
As far as I know this only points the HKLM\Software\Computer Adaptive\Technologies\CatSitePersistance\DataPath to the correct path.
You're exams Department should have a login for CatGlobal website.
If you create an mst you will also need to create a folder called CodeBase under the Administrator folder. This folder is normally created when the application is first run not on install for some reason?
You will also need to give users permissions to the codebase folder, this is where the application downloads images and flash files when running exams.
