This application has many data files which are structured similar to a Windows INI file, but aren't really Windows INIs. Some have an INI extension, some have other extensions. These files confuse the heck out of Wise 5.5 Setup Capture using Smart Monitor. Some of these files get duplicated in the Files and IniFile tables, I also found about 30 files missing in the capture. Wise 5.5 setup capture using Snapshot with Smart Monitor is nothing but trouble.

I seem to have developed a stable package using a setup capture with snapshot only, no smart monitor, with correction of a few validation errors being necessary. I also set it to capture non-microsoft ODBC and enabled ordering of dll registration but I'm not sure if this was really necessary.

cer2 isn't necessarily correct. Version 7.1.339 uses cer3 as a folder location.

In any case, the User Workspace folder can be redirected to a writeable location using the cer<2/3/4/whatever>.ini file.
