Using SCCM 2007 i ran this command line :
Dartfish_Software_5_5.exe /S /qn
If you are running a license server you might need to add an Environment variable to your GPO.
Here`s the details :
3. The workstations fail to contact the license server
The automatic broadcast of the licenses from the server to the workstations will only work when all machines are on the same subnet. When not on the same subnet, or if the workstations seem unable to contact the server, you can try to force the IP address of the server by adding an Environment Variable to the workstations. Proceed as follow:
The company that i work for just brought a site license for Dartfish Connect Plus. As the method we choose to install software is MSI i looked at getting the Dartfish application to deploy as a MSI and not from the setup.exe
The setup.exe is just a wrapper and contains the MSI. This can be extracted using WinRAR or PeaZip. In the extracted contents there will be a folder called installer, inside that folder you will find the MSI.
If you are activating manually or have standalone license, you can just run the MSI to install the application, This will install as the 30 day trial with the option to activate when you start the program. As we are running the license server option you will need to edit the MSI property table to change the 'EDITION' line to 'CLASSROOM_PLUS'.
Dartfish say that if your application and server is on the same subnet, it should detect the license server automatically and activate, however if your server is on a diffrent subnet, you need to add the LSHOST to the enviroment variables. Again this can be done in the MSI, in the Registry table, add a new String Value called LSHOST in 'HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Enviroment' with the value of your license server IP or name.
After making those modifcations, you will be able to deploy the MSI with no additional changes needed on the local machine.
