I was able to repackage the installation of Supernova Magnifier 12.02 for Win7(x86). Here are the steps that I took:
Before starting the capture with Wise Package Studio 8, I first installed the "Visual C++ Runtime 2005" manually because it's a prerequisite for the Supernova application. The installer resides in the source directory ".\SnovaMag\core\redist".
The original setup installs a kernel driver (dolboot.sys). I didn't want that portion of the setup in my new package so I did a little research. By reading the knowledge base article (Q0306) on the Dolphin website I found out that the kernel driver can be installed/removed manually with the commandline:
dolcompint.exe -v (installs the driver)
dolcompinst.exe -remove (removes the driver)
So after installing the VC++ Runtime 2005 I manually installed the kernel driver on my package pc. After installing/removing the kernel driver the pc must be rebooted.
After rebooting the pc everything was in place to start the capture. Keep in mind that the original setup installs the application Teamviewer. In my case I removed it out of my package.
I implemented the installation and removal of the kernel driver with 2 Custom Action's in Execute Deferred with commandlines above. Also I had to make sure that a reboot question pops up when the package was finished installing.
