Problem: Shortcuts are not working from a client who is in external trusted Active Directory domain.
Explanation: The EXLIST registry key is used to bypass the EmailXtender Custom Contact lookup in Active Directory. The Custom contact contains a list of ALL EmailXtender servers in the environment.
Solution: Create EXList key in the registry which helps to bypass the emailxtender customer contact lookup in active directory. This custom contact contains all email xtender servers in the organization.
- Steps to create the registry key
1. HKLM\Software\EMC\EXShortcutAddin\EXLIST, the following was added:
2. Create the following string values for each EmailXtender server:
ExURL1 with a value of http://<EXServerName1>/exshortcut/query.asp
ExURL2 with a value of http://<EXServerName2>/exshortcut/query.asp
