Note
To deploy the .msi package using Group Policy, a minor modification is needed. If you attempt to deploy the original .msi, you may receive the error message "Unable to extract deployment information from the package. Run validation on the package to ensure that the package is correct."

This appears to be because of erroneous data in the Languages field in the .msi Summary Information. I had to open the .msi in Orca, go to the "View" > "Summary Information menu", and edit the Languages field so that it only contained 1033 (the language ID for US English). Only then would it successfully deploy.

Note
I had to download (then copy before it got deleted from %TEMP%)the package using Google updater to download it. Then I had to run that install and unpack it again (Ran GoogleEarth-Win-Plus-5.0.11337.1968.exe.{GUID} to get to the MSI format. This is apparently a 7zip package so you can unpack with that or use the installer and browse to %TEMP% while it's running.

Note
License for Business use is not as restrictive as some say. You can not use the product to make money, but use for navigational need (sans a GPS antenna) is okay. Reproduction of images is not allowed etc. Basically- you can use it, just don't profit from it.

Note
If you experience problems deploying the MSI with Zenworks it is likely because it contains additional checks to determine if the user is an admin, and if not it installs it in the Local Settings directory rather than Program Files.

To fix this problem there are a few different techniques. You can use either ORCA or Admin Studio Tuner (from Zenworks) to create a transform file that ignores these checks. Alternatively you can use ORCA to edit the msi file directly.

To find what you need to edit you can do a search in ORCA for AdminUser and you should find around 3 entries.

The major entries are:
* InstallExecuteSequence: ChangeInstallDirForNonAdmin: NOT AdminUser (Delete this row)
* InstallExecuteSequence: setALLUSERS: AdminUser (remove the word AdminUser so it applies to all installs)
* InstallUISequence: ChangeInstallDirForNonAdmin: NOT AdminUser (Delete this row)

You may also wish to remove AdminUser as a Condition from Component: Plus_Registry_wavdest.ax

Once these are removed or modified it should install in C:\Program Files\Google\Google Earth regardless of which user is logged in.
