Packaging HP ScanJet 8270 driver with NetInstall 5.7
First I did a spy of the drivers installation and got a list of several MSIs which had been detected while installing the driver. I opened a new project and filled in the execution of all mentioned MSI files and MSTs like they where shown in the former mentioned list.
e.g. execute('%WINSYSDIR%\msiexec.exe /I "%windir%\Temp\ScanJet 8270\setup\hpg8270\hpg8270.msi" /QN TRANSFORMS="%windir%\Temp\Scanjet 8270\setup\hpg8270\1031.mst"')
...
If you don't need the grafical interface, you also may
click at [insert]/[Project for Plug & Play-Devices].
This will only install the driver and thats it.
To deploy driver for HP ScanJet 8270, I first did
a spy and wrote down which MSI files had to be installed.
Next step I built a new project and filled in the
MSI-Installs spy found before.
In the following step I've been searching for the settings
which had to be changed for use by the customer.
I found out, that some settings could be changed by deleting
files from Sourcepath.
e.g.
delete "C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\Digital Imagine\sj8270\Support.lnk"
delete "C:\Program Files\HP"
