MPLAB XC8 C Compiler v1.20 Command Line Parameters:

 --help          Display the list of valid options

 --version          Display product information

 --unattendedmodeui <unattendedmodeui>          Unattended Mode UI, only used with --mode unattended

                     minimal         Silent installation without any feedback

 --UPDATE_MPLAB <UPDATE_MPLAB>  Update MPLAB IDE to use the XC8 compiler for all existing C18 (mcc18) projects

 --LINK_ASM_LIB <LINK_ASM_LIB>  Use XC8 for the C18 Linker, Librarian and Assember

Note

XC8 C Compiler is dependent on msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll, both should be located in SysWOW32.

They are Part of Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 SDK and only installed if you install the full version manually or with ADDLOCAL=ALL.

Strangely, WinMerge also installs these .dll-Files
