Command Line

To install Access Runtime 2013 with no UI or reboot (similar to 2010 version):

1. Extract files using AccessRuntime_en-us_x86.exe /extract:c:\temp\access2013rt

2. Create config.xml:

<Configuration Product="AccessRT">
<Display Level="None" CompletionNotice="no" SuppressModal="yes" AcceptEula="yes" />
<Logging Type="standard" Path="C:\Windows\Temp\" Template="Microsoft_Access_2013_Runtime_Setup(*).log" />
<COMPANYNAME Value="Company Name" />
<Setting Id="SETUP_REBOOT" Value="Never" />
</Configuration>

3. Run setup.exe /config config.xml

If desired wrap this into an MSI with your packaging app =)

  • The uninstaller dosnt seem to be working for me. Is there something special to uninstall from k1000 with this type of installation? - wessdf 9 years ago
  • I am attempting to use my InstallShield script setup.exe to run the runtime installer using this method, but when the Runtime is done installing, it kills my InstallShield process as well. Is there a config.xml option to prevent this? - squiddog 9 years ago
