Note
The Service Releases provided by Microsoft for Visio are self extracting executables that apply a MSI patch (MSP) to the machine on which it is run. For deployment purposes, this can be confusing- DO NOT REPACKAGE THIS. To get hold of the MSP files them, you must extract them from the downloaded executable as shown here:

V10R1PEN.EXE /C /T:C:\Temp

This will decompress the files into your temp directory where you can properly apply the MSP to your installation point as shown here:

msiexec.exe /p "C:\Temp\Visio20002SR1ENGPro_C.MSP /a "\\server\share\visio_source_directory\Visio.msi" SHORTFILENAMES=True /qb

You may then initiate a reinstallation/repair on the clients to update them to the applied service release.

Note
About Visio 2002 Sp2 Error message: "The language DLL VB6intl.dll" could not be found

What I tried:
Install Visio 2002 SR1 from the CD.
Start and select hierarchy diagram
No error message

Download SP2 and apply it to my installation.
The error msg is appearing

Reinstal SR1 and install Sp2 from Office update
The error msg is appearing

Rename %commonprogramfiles%\Microsoft Shared\VBA\VBA6\1036 to
%commonprogramfiles%\Microsoft Shared\VBA\VBA6\1033

No more error message. So the problem is on the SP2 itself!!

Note
#1 You cannot use the CIW (from ORKTOOLS for Office XP) on the retail version. Use Orca to create the transform.

#2 For the Green-Licensed version (non-retail), if you want to set PIDKEY in a transform remove the dashes.

#3 You cannot apply SP2 at installation time. MS tweaked it so that you must install it separately.

After trial and error, I came up with this:

msiexec /i visio.msi /qb PIDKEY=ABCD... COMPANYNAME=Company ACCEPTEULA=1

The PIDKEY can NOT have any dashes.
