Note

If you have the 2005 version of the MSI, forget it exists because they've changed everything. Thing are a bit confusing since some properties depend on others so MS gave a listing of examples at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee424297(printer).aspx

The big difference is that now you can easily have multiple management group or management server to fail-over to but if you remove the last one, *the whole agent is uninstalled*

Agent installation using a specific Action Account

The following example shows a fresh installation of an agent and uses a specific Action Account.

msiexec.exe /i \\path\Directory\MOMAgent.msi /qn /l*v %temp% MOMAgentinstall.log USE_SETTINGS_FROM_AD=0 MANAGEMENT_GROUP=<MG_Name> MANAGEMENT_SERVER_DNS=<MSDNSName> ACTIONS_USE_COMPUTER_ACCOUNT=0 ACTIONSUSER=<AccountUser> ACTIONSDOMAIN=<AccountDomain> ACTIONSPASSWORD=<AccountPassword> USE_MANUALLY_SPECIFIED_SETTINGS=1 SET_ACTIONS_ACCOUNT=1

The following example upgrades an agent.
