"You can use the file 50comupd.exe to install Comctl32.dll (version 5.70.x.y) on Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0. You cannot use 50comupd.exe for Windows 3.x, Windows for Workgroups 3.x, or Windows NT 3.x. You must install Service Pack 4 or later on Windows NT 4.0 before installing 50comupd.exe. As with all operating system changes, administrator privileges are required to use 50comupd.exe on Windows NT 4.0."
