If you use SCCM 2007 to deploy CD-ord with these switches you can choose "allow users to interact with the program" to let them see how far the installation has progressed, rather than leaving them blind.

NB! With this option ticked off you won't be able to use the program in a task sequence though, so you will have to make dual packages, one for edployment and one for task sequences if you choose to do it this way!
