Each copy of lightwave needs a usb dongle to work. However it also needs registration online. I was automating the re-imaging of a lab and didnt want to have manually register each copy again so asked lightwave technical support for aid who helpfully sent me the following :
"You can create a single license.key file with all of your Permanent License Keys entered into it on separate lines. You would just need to make sure that the file is located in the LightWave/Programs folder of each machine."
