For a silent install, 'ZBrush_3.5_Installer.exe /s /v /qn' does NOT successfully install, although the MSIEXEC engine completes with a status of 0.

The problem is a broken or outdated (or both) .iss file within the installer. You need to generate a new .iss file and then a silent install works.

run ZBrush_3.5_Installer.exe /r /f1"<path to write .iss file to>" to generate the .iss.

run ZBrush_3.5_Installer.exe /s /f1"<path to .iss file" to install.

Command Line

We had issues deploying Zbrush 4R2 floating, so we ended up using the Scripting module with the following script.

Our Zip file contained the Zbrush.exe, Zbrush License, setup.iss file, and the zbrush lib. One issue we kept on running into was that the installer would fail when sent from Kace unless we specified a user to run the script as; in this case a domain admin. Now it works like a charm.

move FloatingLicenseDLL.dll "c:\Program Files (x86)\Pixologic\ZBrush 4R2 FL\ZData\ZPlugs\RLM"
