Note
When using .mst files to register site-licenses.

The SPSS statistics 17.x BASE works as expected with previous documentation (15.x, 16.x). But when modifying the packages for AMOS, Advanced and Regression it turns out that You need to install dotnet1.1 prior to the SPSS installations.

Note
Network license installation of SPSS 17:

- Create MST file based on the main 'SPSS Statistics 17.0.msi'
- In the MST file, set the property '_LicenseTypeGroup' to 'Network'
- Save MST file as network.mst and put it in the same directory as the main MSI

Now use the following commandline to perform Network license installation. Modify the following properties:
- Set property ISX_SERIALNUM to the SPSS serialnumber.
- Set property LSHOST to the location of you're Sentinal RMS License server. Use NETBIOS or IP adress.

Commandline:

msiexec /I "SPSS Statistics 17.0.msi" /qb /L*V "%~dp0SPSS17logfile.txt" TRANSFORMS=1033.mst;network.mst ISX_SERIALNUM="xxxxxxxx" INSTALLDIR="c:\Appl\SPSS" SPSSLICENSE="Network" LSHOST="%computername%"

Note

Spss or PASW Statistics 18.x seems to have the same msi install flags. There doesn't seem to be a package entry for it yet. You can get the msi install flags from one of the administrator pdf's on the dvd.
