First run the setup. When the setup screen launches search on you're system drive for fpsetup.exe, copy the entire folder (folder containing fpsetup.exe). Then close the setup screen.

For silent installatin, run the following command from the copied folder:

fpsetup.exe /q

Terminal Services
The complete guide to silently install FreePDF XP 3.24 on a Citrix server:

1. Retrieve FreePDF and extract the source from temp by starting the installer.

2. Retrieve RedMonEE and extract the archive's contents into the source of FreePDF, overwriting existing files

3. Install Ghostscript

4. Install FreePDF by executing
fpsetup.exe /q
from within the source folder. The installation routine will install FreePDF with the RedMonEE Version without complaining.

5. Put the following into the registry:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Print\Monitors\Redirected Port\Ports\FreePDFXP1:]
"AfterworksCommand"="C:\\Program Files\\FreePDF_XP\\fpassist.exe"
"RunUser"=dword:00000001

to install:

x:\FreePDFXP3.05.EXE /q

to uninstall change to the folder of freepdfxp and run fpsetup with /r /q:

C:\Programme\FreePDF_XP\fpsetup.exe /r /q

Tried to install it using your installation instructions without any success. It always "hangs up" with a setup mask which needs user interaction.

Terminal Services
FreePDF XP (up to current 3.24) will not run correctly under Terminal Services like Citrix as fpassist.exe will not handle the different user sessions correctly.

There is a German support Document available on how to get around this issue.

In essence you will need RedMonEE which you can install after renaming the redmonnt.dll in system32 that comes with FreePDF XP. After that you will need to edit the port settings as shown on the picture on the bottom of the German support document linked above.
