Note

This turned out to be a very straight-forward install. I used this command to extract the MSI file: enx7inst.exe /a
Went to C:\Users\akuhnert\AppData\Local\Temp on my PC and grabbed the cc2a3b0.msi file.
Note: I renamed the MSI file so to clearly reveal the version number.

Then, I created a response transform file with Installshield and my deployment BAT file is:

REM Terminate any Office apps that are running
Taskkill /F /IM Winword.exe /T
Taskkill /F /IM Excel.exe /T
Taskkill /F /IM Outlook.exe /T
Taskkill /F /IM MSAccess.exe /T
Taskkill /F /IM PowerPnt.exe /T
Taskkill /F /IM MSPub.exe /T
Taskkill /F /IM Infopath.exe /T
Taskkill /F /IM WinProj.exe /T
Taskkill /F /IM Visio.exe /T
Taskkill /F /IM communicator.exe /T

REM install EndNote with the required Serial number
msiexec /i EndNoteX7_3_1.msi transforms="EndNoteX7_3_1.mst" /qb
