How to tell if your K1000 is 32 bit or 64 bit

You can tell if the K1000 is 32 or 64 bit if you go into the troubleshooting tools.

Settings>Support>Troubleshooting Tools>

Or if you have organizations enabled:

System>K1000 Settings>Support>Troubleshooting Tools

Once there, click Edit Mode.

In the drop-down menu, select "top" and click Test.

In the window that comes up, look for "kmsgr".

In a 64-bit K1000, you will see kmsgr7.

For 32-bit, you will see kmgsr54.

  • Thanks, I called KACE support on Friday to ask if my KBOX was 32 or 64 and they told me the only way to find out was to goto my data centre and check the console. - ventrick 12 years ago
    • You can get it from the console prompt as well, but this is usually easier since not all people don't have a monitor or KVM hooked up. I figure everyone should have access to the GUI.

      64 bit will say FreeBSD/amd64 at the console prompt. - jknox 12 years ago
