AAR7 Setup and Software Files
We are testing the installation of Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 using an SMS Installer script. We are executing an MSI using a transform. The AAR 7 msi and mst files are located on a local server with just the setup files:
0X0409.ini
Abcpy.ini
Adobe Reader 7.0.msi
Adobe Reader 7.0.mst
Data1.cab
instmsiw.exe
Rdr70.its
setup.exe
setup.ini
There were also a few files generated when the transform was created and we are including them in the software source files.
Are there any other files that need to be included in the software source files for Adobe Acrobat Reader 7? The reason I am asking this question is because when the software installs on a remote workstation, not all files/folders are installing in the Acrobat 7.0 folder. Some are installing in the Adobe folder.
Thanks,
Sandy

Some are installing in the Adobe folder.
Check your transform, I'd bet you've got the install folder set to install to just adobe, instead of adobe\acrobat 7.0.
I ran into the same thing myself at first, it's strange that the installshield tuner doesn't use the same default as you'd get with a "standard" install.

I trimmed down the software folder down to 4 files. We still check to make sure the Windows Installer Version isn't too old.
I must have looked at the path in the transform many times and "assumed" it was where I wanted all of the files to install. Since adding Acrobat 7.0 to the path, everything is installing where I want it.
I appreciate both of you responding. The install is working great now as per both of your suggestions and help!
Again, thank you very much,
Sandy
