Is the petemp folder accessible from a Remote Site Application Server?

I recently set up a mid-level task to transfer a file from the petemp folder to a new deployed image's C:\ on our main site's SDA server.  It works perfectly fine, however the Mid-level task is constantly failing on our Remote Site application server when they do an image though the RSA.  I was trying to find more details with the petemp folder and RSA's but couldn't find anything.  There was not a section on syncing petemp folders between the SDA and the RSA servers so does anyone know if the petemp folder is not accessible from RSA sites or if the RSA server has its own petemp folder?

did you sync, since the RSA gives the same functionality when deploying. But you need to sync if you have changed something on the main appliance. (hint: schedule syncs every night so you don't forget it)

  • Hi, yes I did a sync after adding the mid-level tasks to the images on the RSA. I looked through the different items that can be sync'd between the main appliance and the RSA, but didn't see the petemp folder as an option, just the mid-level task I created, and it is greyed out and check marked. - pkaneshiro 1 week ago
    • so it is synced (if the sync was done, you can see it if the versions are different)

If you unsure, you can open a case with KACE support to review your settings etc - Nico_K 1 week ago

KACE support confirmed the PETEMP folder is not accessible by RSA, you have to create a post install task that will copy over the files using the application post-install template.  This only applies to RSA's
