Bendix Acom installer is built with InnoSetup... and you're correct it is a bunch of installers inside a big one.  Luckily it does allow switches for silent installs...

SetupACom6PackSE_v6.9.0.6.exe /VERYSILENT /SUPRESSMSGBOXES /NORESTART

Here is the best I've seen that covers all forms of install commandlines, from MSI, and various versions of installshield.

http://unattended.sourceforge.net/installers.php

some EXE's create responce files, and some use cmd varables like /silent or /quiet

Is it a MSI?

If so, then.

 msiexec /i <name if your installer.msi> /qn /l*vx %systemroot%\logs\<myappinstall.log>

End if. lol - soz that was bit geeky :D

In your example
msiexec /i acom6.msi /qn /l*vx %systemroot%\logs\Acom6_Installer.log

  • No, Seems like it is an INO setup wrapper that has a bunch of EXE inside... the company is Bendix... - axz0p4p 11 years ago
  • Lame. err good luck (:
If the software is old, and they dont release updates anymore you could repackage it into a MSI. If you have Installshield it will have the tools, or you can use AppDeploy repackager - that will do the job as well.

You will need some experiance in packaging, but if you have good o/s knowledge you will get by ok as well. - rileyz 11 years ago
  • Yea,,, some of the EXE inside seem to be from Install Shield...
thanks for your advise any ways ! - axz0p4p 11 years ago
