Acrobat 7 Standard=>Invalid serial number
Hi,
i try to package Acrobat 7 standard with serial number.
I use Wise to configure mst.
So, when i launch msi (not in silent mode), acrobat don't install.
The message was "Invalid serial number".
But I've try to install this package under WinXP (with a clean machine) and it's ok.
There is nothing to refer with acrobat with these 2 stations.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Be cool with my english, i’m french.

TheQuaker,
For testing, do two installs - one straight from your CD and the other from your package. Then compare these two branches of the registry from the two:
Look at the part of the "SERIAL" values where I have placed "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx". On the machine where you installed from CD, you should see a long, solid number string that probably begins with a 9. Compare this to what you get when you install from your package. This the value that Acrobat reads when it initializes. If it is not right, Acrobat will not run.
Also realize that unless you have volume licensing, delivering this package won't be very useful because of Adobe's activation element.
