I have application visio 2003 which is a vendor MSI. I need to add the upgrade code of earlier versions of visio.

1. Open up the new (MSI) package with Windows Installer Edit
2. Go to Upgrades under Distribution
3. Press the Add button, select the old (MSI) package
4. In the "Upgrade Details" dialog just hit enter
5. Save and Compile

What ICE validation errors do you get before adding the upgrade?

I wouldn't make an upgrade for visio 2003 as this is done default.
"By default, Visio 2003 removes previous versions of Visio installed on the user's computer."
