AdminStudio 8.5 vs. InstallAware Studio Admin 7

Hello!

This is my first post here and I have a question for you guys...

We are switching from Wise and I am currently evaluating AdminStudio 8.5 (w/ InstallShield) and InstallAware Studio Admin 7.

In your experiences, what are some of the pros and cons of each and what do you recommend? I am looking for things like Vista certification, transform creation from MSI, conflict checking, etc.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Quite. If you're having issues with Wise, it seems to me, having used both, that you'll simply be swapping one set of problems for another.

As for the comparison between IS and IA, I can't help you: I've never used IA.

I just started here so I'm not sure of the exact reasoning.

I was told to eval and try to find a suitable replacement. I think we are probably going to go with AdminStudio, just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with InstallAware.

Thanks for your response!

Umm .. although they are similar concept-wise, Altiris/Wise WPS is a _better_ product than AdminStudio in my opinion, having used both.

Sorry to hear you are required to switch, it'd been interesting to hear the reasoning behind that decision ..
