AdminStudio conversion to App-V

Good Morning Everyone,

Whenever I repackage an application and convert it to .osd files in AdminStudio, the shortcut icons never appear when it is moved to the App-V Server. This happens for any application that is attempted.

Thanks in advance,

Curtis

Hi Curtis,

Is this happening after you import the application into the App-V Management Console?

So, after the application has been assigned to the user, the shortcut appears for the user, but the icon is not correct.

I assume that you are copying all of the assets in the output folder, including the Icons folder.

Can you check to see if the icon is displayed in the Management Console?

Your assumptions are correct; but the icons are not displayed on the Management Console.

If that's the case, it's probably related to the location of the icons referenced in the OSD file. I believe it defaults to something like %SFT_MIME_SOURCE%\<PackageName Icons>. You may need to change that in the OSD or add that environment variable to the Management Server.

Good morning Chris,

I am using SP1 and the manifest file is available for me to edit.
