AdminStudio editions
We're considering AdminStudio as an alternative to our Wise 8.0 setup.
From what I've read AdminStudio's got better ability to convert existing packages into sequences and some other nice features.
So, a few questions:
- Has anyone made the switch?
- If you're using AdminStudio, which edition/add-ons?
- Is there any reason to drop 20k to buy AdminStudio + addons + maintenance?

Speaking as someone who much prefers Wise over IS, in my view Wise is dead in the water. I believe Symantec purchased it purely for the deployment system and has left the Wise family to wither on the vine. Mind you, even before that, Wise's track record on bug-fixing and keeping track with technology was already pretty dire.

We bought pretty much everything because we have 4-5 (maybe more) departments doing packaging for different requirements. My group is specifically packaging for Windows 7 and honestly, I only use the InstallShield Editor. Mind you, I work for the government and our division has over 65000 people.
I'd say it really depends on what your focus or requirements are and what your software deployment strategy is.
