Adobe Digital Editions in Normal User
user. But when a Normal user tries to download e-books from the website it gives an error. I need to know if there is a issue with the repackaged MSI concerning some security permissions (though it is less likely) to be provided or this is derived from the behaviour of Adobe Digital Editions. ProcMon does not show anything significant.
Has anyone come across this application or a with a similar issue?
Browser: Microsoft IE 6 or higher
Operating System: Windows XP SP3.

Yes, most Adobe products are shipped in MSI format except Digital Editions. DE is definitely a setup. The problem exists even when the setup is run. The User cannot download any ebooks. I was wondering if this was the intended so that users cannot download it. Used ProcMon and gave permissions to everything the package has put for No Results.
Nothing on the Package KB as well. The Adobe support forums and their support have'nt helped as yet.

I'm also stuck here.
I will deploy this with a batch script, and managed to get the installation by doing /S on the setup.
When I try to download a sample from the adobe site as normal user, I get a message that it requires administrative rights.
If i do a (Wise-)snapshot as administrator, all I get is files in my profile and registry keys to HKCU. That's it! It should not be a problem.
I also visited the Adobe forum and found your post still not responded to Rajit.
Did you find a solution to this?
