Advertisement in case of update or Service Pack packages
Hi,
Q: we have Package A and Package B. If Package B is an update or service pack for Package A, then Can
we enable advertisement in "Package A" ?
Our doubt : If we delete main exe of the package, and we repaired Package A, then again lower version exe will
come.
Actual Exp : Even if we delete lower version exe and we repaired Package A, in presence of Package B, it retains
higher version exe.
Guidance needed.

I think your upgrade process is broken.
Why on earth would you advertise Package A when Package B is available as an update to it? Additionally, if B is meant to upgrade A, how is the main EXE for A still available for deletion? Surely it got upgraded?!? If they're in different paths, then you're not "upgrading" in the proper, Windows Installer sense: you're merely installing a new instance with higher version number.
Note also that 'service pack' has no meaning in the MSI world, unless you actually meant 'patch' and 'update' should read 'upgrade'. It helps to use the correct terminology.
