After K2000 update to version 6, ALL of my Win7/10 images are unable to install...
I rebuilt all my Win10 images via KBE for Win10 v1803...success.
However, I keep getting a fatal error during the Sysprep Executor phase for our Win7 Pro x64 image creation.
I set SkipRearm to "1", deleted C;\Windows\System32\Sysprep\Panther folder.
Updated Win7 Pro SP1 with latest updates.
I tried with a clean image and an image with some apps pre-installed.
Installing with VMware ESXi 6.5
Used both Sysprep Creator v 3.x (Dell)  AND 4.1.1 (Quest)
I have mimicked the setup/settings of the image which worked prior to upgrade to K2000 v6
What else can I check ?

  • Sysprepping an image is separate from the K2000 appliance, therefore upgrading to 6.0 has no affect on creating new images (only if it failed to capture it). What do the sysprep logs say, they should point to the reason why it is failing. - cserrins 6 years ago

Hi,

Do NOT delete C:\Windows\System32\Sysprep\Panther  please, when Windows fails to Sysprep, it will generate a log there letting you know why is unable to Sysprep.

Review the log files  setupact and setuperr.

Post the logs here or via pastebin, and we might be able to give you directions.
